Equine Assisted Transitions, Inc.

Equine Assisted Transitions, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization - receiving tax exempt status in November 2009.

It was founded by Susan Garon, a licensed marriage and family therapist who developed a pilot program, Horses Healing Hearts, in Anderson County, Kentucky in June of 2007 which served at-risk children who were unable to attend regular summer camp due to behavioral or emotional problems.

The nonprofit "Transitions" was established to expand the range of services to offer support to other individuals, including those in transition - with divorce, adoption, remarriage, deployment/reunification, blended families, grief or loss, as well as other traumas causing stress or concerns affecting the individual, couple, or family.
